The hottest new poster in the DJ line - this triptych of images was taken at the Grundig World Cup downhill race in Big Bear California, in 1998. The van was driven by the late, great mechanic Chris 'Monkdawg' Vasquez, a man who has spannered for many of the mtb legends, including Missy Giove, herself a Yeti racer in the early 90s.
Geoff Waugh shot the van using a manual fisheye lens which incorporated built in colour filters for black and white photography. The fact that he used slide film which was processed in colour negative chemicals (cross processed) already shifted the colours, but adding a colour filter to each frame only sent the hues even wilder. Check out the Kodak lettering on the negative to see how it goes from original yellow to white!
These are scans of the actual negatives, not rebates that were added after the event, and the images are not digitally manipulated. This is how it was from that day!
The poster comes in A3 size ready to drop into readily available standard frames. It is printed on 250gsm heavy paper and shipped in a protective tube.
Each poster is embossed and signed by the author.
Cost is £20 inc shipping to the UK, £25 to ship Internationally. Shipping is via 2nd Class standard Royal Mail postage.
